The purpose of this online recipe project is to educate and provide ideas for action about food security and sustainable food systems.
What we hope to:
- make available recipes for community gardeners so they can use the recipes for language training
- provide a resource for the Tasmanian community and school gardeners
- provide links to participating community gardens and school gardens
- list contact details of participating gardens
- provide information about the local Launceston environment.

Providing Habitat in Urban Built-up Areas
These gardens can be found among Launceston’s built-up areas. There is the possibility to enhance the urban environment by these gardens providing habitat planting and elements such as water to encourage small birds into the garden and surrounds.
